Bath

In Roman times, the floor was on top of these piles of stones. Heated air kept the floors warm. Also built by the Victorians

Stonehenge
We took a little day trip out of Bath and went to Stonehenge, where it was freezing and rainy. A white horse in the hillside, near Stonehenge.

Longleat Safari Park

Cheddar Caves
Yep, as in Cheddar cheese. They used to store cheese in here.

Teignmouth
Teignmouth, where Chris's family used to go on holiday. There's a tunnel (Smuggler's Tunnel) in this hill, which we went through. Chris relives his youth.

Cathy is eaten by a shark. Old school Star Wars!

Cornwall
The farmhouse where we stayed two nights (a working dairy farm that is also a B&B). The view from the farm house. The cows that woke us up at 5 am

The calves were in these little pens for some reason. Chris on the causeway to St. Michael's Mount, when the tide is out. View from the top of St. Michael's Mount.

Lizard Point -- a lot less flashy/tacky than Land's End. The old rescue lifeboat landing at Lizard's Point, the southernmost point of mainland England. The rescue boathouse. They used to rescue a lot of people from shipwrecks here.

Minack Theatre
The Minack Theatre is located in Cornwall It was the inspiration of one woman--Rowena Cade She worked on it from 1931 until she died in 1983

Hundreds of plays have been performed here

The Eden Project
The Eden Project was built in Cornwall in 2001 It used to be an empty, stripped clay pit There are two biomes: one is Humid Tropics, and one is Warm Temperate
